Sant Mohinder Partap Singh Ji

President Sahib Ji

Sant Mohinder Partap Singh Ji, affectionately addressed as President Sahib Ji, was born to Mata Harinder Kaur Ji on 23rd February 1979 in Patiala, Punjab. Mata Ji was the daughter of Sant Giani Naranjan Singh Ji.

Sant Giani Naranjan Singh Ji, from very early on, had revealed that President Sahib Ji is a very spiritual being who has come to do seva of the Panth. The title “President Sahib Ji” was actually bestowed by Sant Giani Naranjan Singh Ji as a form of respect for the stature of President Sahib Ji. He said that the title was given because President Sahib Ji is “the president of the whole world”.

Notwithstanding President Sahib Ji's playful ways during his childhood spent in Guru Nanak Ashram, Patiala, there were many signs of President Sahib Ji's highly advanced spiritual state. Despite not having received any formal education in gurmat vidya or the ancient scriptures of India, President Sahib Ji regularly displayed knowledge of such matters from a young age.

President Sahib Ji has been continuing the sewa at Guru Nanak Ashram, Patiala since Sant Giani Naranjan Singh Ji left his physical body in 1994. President Sahib Ji who rarely speaks and remains silent most of the time, had already begun to undertake intense meditation from his early teenage years.

Such is the intensity of President Sahib Ji's meditation and his total indifference to bodily comforts; that it is a normal occurrence to witness President Sahib Ji going without food for long periods of time. President Sahib Ji has also been seen to pay little attention to extreme temperatures, regularly going without thermal clothing during the peak of winter and walking barefooted for endless hours in meditation during the scorching heat of summer.

President Sahib Ji's mother, Mata Harinder Kaur Ji, left this world on 2nd May 2016.

On 9th November 2016, President Sahib Ji married Bibi Balwinder Kaur Ji who currently assists with the management of Guru Nanak Ashram, Patiala.
